IMPULSE — Stop Habits

1. Acceptance
By downloading, installing, or using IMPULSE ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
IMPULSE is a mobile application that helps users manage impulsive behaviors through guided breathing, AI-assisted dialogue, and personal habit tracking. The App is available as a free version with limited features and a premium subscription ("IMPULSE Premium") with additional features.
3. Medical Disclaimer
IMPULSE IS NOT A MEDICAL DEVICE. The App does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
- The AI Coach feature provides conversational support based on cognitive-behavioral techniques but is NOT therapy and is NOT provided by a licensed professional.
- If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, suicidal thoughts, or thoughts of self-harm, please contact emergency services or the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988 in the US) immediately.
- Always seek the advice of a qualified health provider with any questions regarding a medical or mental health condition.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 17 years old to use IMPULSE. The App discusses topics including alcohol, nicotine, gambling, and other impulse-driven behaviors that are not appropriate for minors.
5. User Accounts
IMPULSE does not require or provide user accounts. The App generates an anonymous device identifier for rate-limiting and subscription management purposes only. This identifier is not linked to any personal information.
6. Subscriptions and Payments
IMPULSE Premium
- Premium subscriptions are available as monthly ($9.99 / month) or yearly ($49.99 / year) plans. Prices may vary by region and are shown in your local currency at the point of purchase.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at purchase confirmation. We do not handle payment information directly.
- Subscriptions auto-renew at the same price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device's App Store settings (Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions).
- Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
Free Trial
- If offered, free trial periods convert to paid subscriptions automatically unless cancelled before the trial ends.
- Each Apple ID is eligible for one free trial per subscription group.
Refunds
- Refund requests are handled by Apple according to their refund policy. Contact Apple Support for refund inquiries.
7. AI-Powered Features
IMPULSE uses artificial intelligence (Anthropic Claude) to power conversational features:
- AI responses are generated in real-time and may vary. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of AI-generated content.
- The AI is instructed to never give medical advice, diagnose conditions, or recommend specific treatments.
- AI conversations are processed through our secure proxy server. Message content is forwarded to Anthropic and is not stored on our servers.
- You should not share sensitive personal information (full name, address, financial details, medical records) in AI conversations.
8. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the App
- Attempt to bypass rate limits, subscription restrictions, or other technical controls
- Use the App to generate content that is harmful, abusive, or violates the rights of others
- Misrepresent the App's AI features as professional medical or psychological advice
9. Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, and branding of IMPULSE are owned by German Iushchenko. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal purposes in accordance with these Terms.
10. Data and Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Key points:
- Habit data is stored locally on your device
- AI conversation text is transmitted to Anthropic for processing
- No personal accounts, no analytics tracking, no advertising
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GERMAN IUSHCHENKO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF DATA, EMOTIONAL DISTRESS, OR RELIANCE ON AI-GENERATED CONTENT.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. The "Last updated" date will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Mexico, without regard to conflict of law principles.
